Essay

The object - Slobozhanschyna scholars-historians in the second of the XIXth - at the beginning of the XXth century; the aim - on the basis of scientific and pedagogical literature analysis and archival documents, the contribution of Slobozhanschyna scholars-historians of the period under research of problem of content of education by Slobozhanschyna scholars-historians in the second of the XIXth - at the beginning of the XXth century; the methods - theoretical, empiric, statistic; the novelty - the peculiarities of their theoretical views on forming the content of education are defined: culture-oriented educational paradigm is analysed, requirements and conditions of curriculum design are characterized, national-regional, aesthetic and religious components of the content of education are studied. The investigation has proved that scholars-historians focused their attention on the problem of History content teaching in secondary and higher education. The leading directions of the realization of Slobozhanschyna scholars-historians' theoretical ideas on forming the content of education (scientific-methodological, enlightening) are revealed and characterized. The stages and tendencies in the development of the problem under reseach in the legacy of scholars-historians are singled ont.; the results - recommendations and conclusions of dissertation are inculcated in the uchebno-vospitatel'ny process of higher pedagogical educational establishments.
