Essay

The object of the research is sensory development of senior pre-school aged children. The aim is to define and ground scientifically pedagogical conditions providing sensory development of senior pre-school aged children by means of fine art. The research methods used are theoretical, empirical, diagnostic, and statistical. The practical results are the following ones: the methods aimed at realizing pedagogical conditions providing sensory development of senior pre-school aged children by means of fine art in different kinds of activities as well as by means of combining different kinds and forms of fine arts have been elaborated; a program of sensory development by means of fine art intended for senior pre-school aged children have been made up; plans of fine art lessons have been worked out. The novelty of the research consists in the following items: the essence of the notions "sensory development of senior pre-school aged children by means of fine art" and "pedagogical conditions for sensory development of senior pre-school aged children by means of fine art" has been defined and grounded for the first time; their criteria and indices have been specified; the sensory development levels of senior pre-school aged children have been described; the didactic model of realization of pedagogical conditions providing sensory development of senior pre-school aged children by means of fine art has been elaborated; the essence of the notions "sensory development", "sensory education", "sensory standards" has been specified; the methods of sensory education of senior pre-school aged children have got the further development. The degree of approval is high. The corresponding branches are pedagogical, pedagogical establishments of higher education, postgraduate pedagogical education.
