The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of a philosophy of music as a history of philosophical and aesthetic system that organically combining ontological and epistemological foundations of life, is the result of constructing the theory of music as a manifestation of the universal. In the context of the history of the development of Western European aesthetic thought explores the ideological and theoretical prerequisites for the formation of musical sensitivity and its evolution to the level of scientific knowledge of philosophy. We analyze the increase of the melody, harmony, rhythm, and modulation of their existence as a specific musical aesthetic concepts and categories of philosophical level.
