Bratel O. Verbal images in the Argentinean poetry of the end of the 19th - the first half of the 20th century.

The dissertation focuses on studying the peculiarities of images in the Argentinean poetry of the end of the 19th - the first half of the 20th century from a linguistic-cognitive perspective and aims at revealing key concepts, conceptual models and archetypes reconstructed from the Argentinean verbal poetic images. The division of the poetical process in two periods (a traditional and a new period) according to different concepts actualized in the poetical images is offered in the thesis. Thus, in the poetic images at the end of the 19th century the concepts PAMPA and GAUCHO are verbalized, while at the beginning of the 20th century the concepts CITY, CONVENTILLO, TANGO, and IMMIGRATION are actualized.
