Object: The process of reforming higher education of Great Britain; objective: historical and pedagogical analysis of higher education reform in Britain; methods: systematization and classification of scientific literature and historical sources; novelty: defines the main trends of higher education reform, reviewed achievements of Great Britain in terms of cultural, national and ethnic values and characterized by their dependence on structural changes in higher education and international integration processes, further developed the analysis of theoretical and practical principles of modernization of training future professionals in the higher schools of Great Britain; Results: can be used in the process of teaching the courses on general pedagogy, comparative pedagogy in educational establishments of different levels of accreditation and also in preparing educational supplies; field – general pedagogics and the history of pedagogics.
