Essay

The paper reveals and analyses different approaches to self-reflection education of the students of higher educational establishments. Involving diagnostic methods, structure components of self-reflection and levels of its formation in future pedagogues are investigated. Pedagogical conditions and functional model of self-reflection education are worked out for the first time; contents and methods of self-reflection upbringing of future teachers' pedagogical activity are presented in detail; theses about upbringing of self-reflection ability and self-education in the process of the students of pedagogical institutes training are given further development. The system of self-reflection education of the students of pedagogical institute is demonstrated; it is shown how the results of the investigation and methodological recommendations can be used in the process of practical education and retraining of teachers in pedagogical training establishments and post-graduate institutes.
