Essay

Based on the ideas promoted by the text-linguistic and functionalist approaches to translation, the paper discusses a possible methodology for the translation of author fairy-tales. The thesis focuses on the problem of proving theoretical grounds for semiotic and linguistic approach to the analysis of fiction translation, in particular the example of Ukrainian translations of R. Kipling's collection "Just So Stories".
