Essay

Object of the research is the process of teaching and aducating at the senior school in Great Britain; the subject is the theoretical bases, content, forms and methods of organization of profile-oriented education at the senior school in Great Britain; the aim of the research is to find out theoretical bases and technology of organization of profile-oriented education at the senior school in Great Britain taking into account the historical aspect of its development, to select the most important organizational-pedagogical conditions of its efficiency; methods of the research: historical methods: historically structured (the division of the pas of the phenomenon on the constituents); structurally-genetic (with the purpose of supervision after the change of profile-oriented education in space and time, becoming of it scientifically founded divisions into periods in the contex of state transformations in Great Britain); 3) historical comparing facts ( the determination of progress and regress of the phenomena of profile-oriented education in practice of school formation in Great Britain for the sake of generalization of progressive ideas with the purpose of its use in the conditions of modern school in Ukraine); scientific: methods of analyses (retrospective, comparative, statistical) and synthesis for determination of context, forms, methods and tools of profile-oriented education at the senior school in Great Britain; methods of summing up, specification, classification and systematization of scientific facts for determination of the point of the profile-oriented education , pedagogical terms and principles of its organization; methods of comprehension of the experience of teachers in Great Britain with the purpose of its use in middle educational establishments in Ukraine; scientific novelty - the complex research of the profile-oriented education at senior school of Great Britain for the first time in Ukrainian pedagogical science is made, it gave possibility to find out historical features and stages of its becoming and development, to define theoretical principles and technology of its organization; the organizational-pedagogical terms of the profile-oriented education at senior school of Great Britain are reflected: presence of powerful material base and scientific-methodical providing; deep profiling and differentiation of teaching taking into account the queries of society; active introduction of modern information technologies; high level of preparation of teachers; further development was received in the researches of problem of the profile-oriented education and leading tendencies of the development of the educational system of Great Britain in socially-ihistorical and pedagogically-theoretical foreshortening.
