The object: training primary school teachers in Ukraine in the second half of the twentieth century; the aim: to identify characteristics and patterns of development of training primary school teachers in Ukraine in the second half of the twentieth century, methods: historical and educational; comparative-historical, chronological, retrospective ; prognosis; novelty: the first time in our pedagogy complex research system development training for primary school teachers Ukraine in the second half of the twentieth century from a position of civilized approach; scientifically substantiated system of training primary school teachers in Ukraine during this historical period, defined positive and negative features, patterns of the studied system, subjects in the concept of "civilization approach in education"; introduced to the scientific unknown and little known archival sources and historical facts that expand understanding of the development of training primary school teachers in Ukraine in the second half of the twentieth century; gained further development of progressive ideas of domestic and foreign experience in the preparation of elementary school teachers as a feasibility study for its use in modern conditions of reforming of the Ukrainian educational system; results of scientific research can be used in the educational process of higher education, for comparative analysis and forecasting problems of higher education in Ukraine in the context of European integration as well as in writing a diploma and master's theses; the field: general education and history education.
