Essay

An object is impersonality as "category of grammatical thought" and impersonal sentences as a method of its existence is in a language and speech. The aim is to specify the volume of concept "impersonal sentence", and to expose the law of filling of the syntactic position of the impersonal sentences main part. The methods are descriptive, structural, transformation, introspective; distributive analysis. This dissertation studies peculiarities of taking the main member position in impersonal sentences (IS) by specialized and non-specialized word forms according to the principle of functional equivalence. The systemic analysis of representatives of this position and functions within the framework of functional and grammatical approach is made. It turned out that the main member position in IS shows different degrees of specialization of word forms - representatives as far as peculiarities of taking this position in the system and usage are concerned. Only those specialized forms are impersonal which are morphologized sentence members. Other representatives are treated as secondary ones when viewed functionally. It is proved that as functional equivalents they do not change their part-of-speech membership and are referred to as correlates of two-member sentences being homosyntaxemes. The hierarchy of the predicative nucleus representatives in IS are structured in accodance with the principle of functional and grammatical field in conformity with the degree of their specialization. Application sphere is the training courses.
