Object – professional training of teachers of foreign language in higher educational establishments in Poland at the end of the XXth – the beginning of the XXIst century; the subject of the research is theoretical principles, matter, forms and methods of organization of the process of forming of sociocultural competence of a Polish teacher of foreign language; purpose – to carry out the integral historical-pedagogical analysis of becoming and development of sociocultural competence of the Polish teacher of foreign language in higher educational establishments at the end of the XXth – the beginning of the XXIst century; methods are of concrete searching (with the purpose of systematization, analysis and estimation of scientific Ukrainian-language and foreign literature for researching the problem); pedagogical analysis, synthesis, generalization and comparison of facts (for generalization and description of the state of the problem of forming of sociocultural competence of the future teacher of foreign language in Poland); comparative-historical analysis (that foresees the study of the problem, enables to find out the cause and effect and historical determination of its origin, and also trace the regularity and progress of the problem); problematic and structural (for the search of ways of application of Polish positive experience to the reformation of native higher pedagogical school); scientific novelty – for the first time complex investigation of the genesis of the phenomenon of sociocultural competence of a teacher in Poland at the end of the XXth – the beginning of the XXIst century; clarification of the notion of sociocultural competence of a teacher of foreign language in Poland and determination of the components of the phenomenon on the modern stage; elaboration of the periods of its becoming and development in the period at the end of the XXth – the beginning of the XXIst century; the possibilities and prospects of introduction and creative use of innovative methods of training in Poland are cleared out with the purpose of the effective forming of sociocultural competence of native teachers of foreign language; research results will widen the scientific point of view about the peculiarity of training of teachers of foreign language in higher educational establishments in Poland; the features of forming of sociocultural competence of the Polish specialist will make basis for the new trends in education of modern teacher of foreign language in Ukraine.
