Tagirova G. Social Prognostication as a Method of Social Regulation

The thesis is devoted to the multivariate investigation of modern social forecasting. The main part of work concerns analysis of prognoses as significant means of social control. The purpose of social forecasting is to provide an analytical framework for social management. As it came out from the research, social predictions constitute the complicated mechanism of political risks determination, conflicts prevention and substantiation of government decisions. Though prognostication may not absolutely guarantee that correct resolution will be taken, it provides explanation for different events that are happening in every social sphere, combining various disciplines and different methodologies of approach. The exploration issued that social forecasting assists to identify the character of social changes tendencies and thereby it can prevent from or reduce possible consequences of the objectionable phenomenon of social development.
