Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the actual problem of the development of young students' creativity by the means of Ukrainian folk arts. Theoretical and methodological bases of the young students' creativity development and the level of problem's development in the philosophical, psychological and educational literature have been investigated. The essence of the concepts: "creation", "creativity", "potential" has been determined due to the analyses of scientific literature. Modern approaches to the problem of the personal creativity development and using the means of Ukrainian folk arts in this process have been studied. Ukrainian folk art is the basis for the young students' creativity development in this investigation. It forms the conditions for the development of students' individual abilities and talents of both humanitarian and technical areas, contributes to a national consciousness, love for their people, that is, in turn, a part of the principle of nationality, which is the central to the Ukrainian educational system. Methods and tools for diagnosing the level of students' creativity are developed in the thesis. Indicators and criteria that characterize the level of creativity of students are identified. Given the comprehensive data analysis to create students' creative potential structure it was confirmed that the phenomenon of a potential includes the opportunities and achievement concepts. In carrying creativity, personality fully exposes its opportunities, which were laid in the nature, and achieves the creative results. Methods and techniques for diagnosis of young students' creativity level have been developed in dissertation. Levels of young students' ccreativity have been characterized. The pedagogical technology of the young students' creativity development by the means of Ukrainian folk arts has also been developed. The forming experiment has been realized in the form of class activity, extracurricular activities (taking part in the psychological training, directed to the development of personal creativity, master-classes, folk exhibitions and concerts attendance) and individual creativity and scientific work. The pedagogical technology of the development of young student's creativity by the means of Ukrainian folk arts has been scientifically well-grounded and approbated therein by the experiment we have conducted. The received experimental data are the evidence of the chosen forms efficiency.
