Essay

This dissertation is devoted to establishment of interrelation between indexes of EEG, ERP and anxiety level in practically healthy probationers of 10-15 years old and also to an estimation of feedback sessions on EEG directed to anxiety decrease in children and adolescents. It has been established that high level of anxiety in children and adolescents was expressed in increased values of spectral power density (SPD) of theta- and beta2-rhythms and decreased values of SPD of alpha-rhythm, sensorimotor rhythm (SMR), beta1-rhythm and alpha-rhythm modal frequency and also relations of SPD of alpha- and theta-rhythms, SMR and theta-rhythm, beta1- and theta rhythms; in ERP parameters it was characterized by lowered amplitudes of the following waves: Р1, N1, Р2, CNV, P300 and latent periods of Р1 and N1 potentials, by increased values of N2 amplitude and P2 latent period. EEG-feedback sessions directed to increase of alpha-rhythm amplitude, alpha/theta and SMR/theta ratios lead to certain changes in EEG pattern accompanied by optimization of psychophysiological state.
