The Thesis focuses on the study of composition, nature, causes and ways of word-coinage in the French language of the Renaissance, the definition of the dynamics of lexical and semantic processes of the aforesaid epoch as a reflection of language image of that period of the French language development. Lexical and semantic processes are examined as the main ways of word-formation potential of a certain language to interact with other foreign languages or subsystems of a certain language, what results into the creation of new words, words meanings or words combinations.
