Essay

The thesis deals with the investigation of the neuroprotective activity of 30 new S-replaced quinazoline. In in vivo and in vitro tests NC-224 - 2-morpholin-4-ylquinazoline-4-thiol compound was found, which exceeded the the reference-preparation activity by strength of action. It was determined by “structure-activity” analysis, that the the antioxidant and neuroprotective activity and its strength depend upon the character and position of the substitute in quinazoline complex of the molecule. Course prescription of NC-224 in the dosage of 25 mg/kg by intragastric introduction to animals with acute cerebral circulation disorder of ischemic insult type increased the activity of superoxide dismutase, inhibited the accumulation of markers of protein oxidative modification and nitrite-anion, caused the rise of ATP production in the cerebrum of rats. Introduction of NC-224 disorder decreased manifestations of neurological deficiency and nerve cell loss of cerebral cortex sensomotor zone.
