Zhornyk D. Using alloplastic material polytetrafluoroethylene and single-stroy sutures in the treatment of pigs with umbilical hernias.

The object of research - umblical hernia in pigs. The purpose of research - clinical and experimental study of the use of alloplastic material polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) for plastic hernial orifice and single storey sutures when pigs are made herniotomy. Research methods - clinical, morphological (erythrocytes, leukocytes, platelets), biochemical (hemoglobin, ceruloplasmin, average molecular weight, malonic dialdehyde, glycoproteins, glycosaminoglycans, Sialo acid), histological, histochemical (connective tissue, neutral and acidic hlikozamino-glycans) statistics. Scientific novelty: the first time in veterinary surgery clinical and experimental use of Modern Methods of alloplastic material PTFE for the treatment of umbilical hernia in pigs. Morfobiochemical condition of organism of pigs is studied in use single storey sutures for herniotomy. It is established that in animals with omphalocele with small hernial orifice (up to 5 cm) possible imposition of one-story sutures in all the layers of the abdominal wall. It is proved that alloplastic material PTFE is indifferent material for implantation it into the body of pigs. It is established that the use of alloplastic material PTFE for plastic hernial orifice of big size in pigs helps to reduce recurrences of the disease due to defect formation in the abdominal wall a strong connection tissue scar and postoperative period passes with less marked changes in clinical status, morphological and biochemical indices of blood and more rapid normalization. It is proposed: use of alloplastic material of polytetrafluoroethylene and single storey sutures for plastic of hernial orifice for the treatment of umbilical hernia in pigs.
