The object of the research is the lecture-practical system of study in the secondary educational establishments; The subject of the research is the process of the lecture-practical system of study formation and development in the Ukrainian educational establishments from the period of the 1950s and till now; The aim of the research is to find out the peculiarities of the lecture-practical system of study in the secondary educational establishments from the period of the 1950s and till now and to give proofs for them; The scientific novelty of the research comprises the comprehensive analysis of the scientific and theoretical heritage of Oleksandr Khmura and the integral analysis of the theory and practice of the educational process organization according to the lecture-practical system; the systemic and structural analysis of the 1950s and 1960s pedagogical innovations is done, the basic innovation tendencies are also defined; methods - generally scientific methods, bibliographical search method, historic structural method, structural genetic method, specifically historical method, theoretical generalization method.
