Object is process of study of natural disciplines at senior school; aim is to learn and to generalize theory, to analyze and to systematize experience in study of natural disciplines at senior school during the second half of the XXth century for use of creative achievements of the past in educational process at modern school; methods are scientific, historical; novelty is in the fact that an integral research of the problem of study of natural disciplines at senior school in pedagogical theory and practice during the certain historical period was carried out for the first time, the contribution of leading scientists of the second half of the ХХth century to the development of the problem of study of natural disciplines at senior school was determined, the stages of the development of the problem of study of natural disciplines at senior school during the period under the research were substantiated, the perspectives of creative use of finds of theory and practice of study of natural disciplines (the second half of the ХХth century) at modern school were outlined; results are the theoretical positions, the actual material incarnate in development of the special course "Study of Natural Disciplines at Senior School: Historical Aspect" for higher pedagogical educational establishments of the ІІІrd-ІVth levels of accreditation was worked out; field is pedagogy
