Essay

Object - the teaching process in higher pedagogical educational institutions during the last part of XIX century; the aim - to systematize theoretical ideas and summarize the experience of organizing dialogue training of prospective teachers during the last part of XIX century in order to reveal and use the accumulated progressive ideas in present day higher pedagogical institutions ; methods - historical, general scientific, comparative, chronological; novelty - the research has been the first one to reveal the contribution of foreign and Ukrainian scholars of the period under research into the investigation of dialogue teaching, the stages in the evolution of dialogic teaching of students based on the university statutes and the level of university didactics development are analysed and substantiated, unfamiliar (8) and little known(10) archival documents, specific facts and theoretical ideas dealing with the theory and practice of organizing dialogue methods of teaching in higher pedagogical educational institutions of Ukraine have been introduced for scientific study ; results - theoretical statements and conclusions, factual historical and theoretical material is worth incorporating in lectures, seminars and students' individual learning activities on "Pedagogy" and "History of Pedagogy"; field - pedagogy
