Research object: processes of origin and forming of risks of demographic losses of population and their consequences in a region. Purpose: development of theoretical-methodological and practical bases of determination of essence, exposure, classification and estimation of risks of demographic losses in a region, account of factors of its forming. Methods: system, statistical, cartographic, structural analysis. Novelty: is first suggested to enter the concept of risk of demographic losses in a scientific turn, the system of going is improved near the analysis of social risks, directions of forming of organizational and social mechanisms of warning and minimization of negative consequences of risks of demographic losses. Sphere of the use: in activity of Department of Economic Policy of Lviv City Advice, Main Administration of Economy of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, Main Administration of Health Protection of Lviv Regional State Administration.
