Essay

The dissertation is devoted to merchandising estimation of rabbit fur skins made by various processing methods. After rabbit fur skins commodity assessment, we have found that skins have increased indicators of physical and mechanical properties and biosustainability owing to simultaneous structuring processes and dermis protein degradation under the influence of UV radiation of skin tissue. In order to obtain semifinished products of rabbit fur skins and reduction of losses during storage, a new way of preserving rabbit fur skins has been developed that includes UV radiation of skin inner side with drying under cover, soaking, combination of pickling and tanning, keeping in lying position, fattening with fat emulsion Lival LM (firm "BUFA", Germany), drying in the loose state and proceeding hair cleaning. The analysis of the complex commodity assessment results gives reason to believe that the formation of fur raw materials properties by using UV radiation will enhance their indicators and biosustainability of rabbit skins. The above-mentioned processes provide the production of high quality fur semi-finished products which satisfy consumers' needs in warm clothes.
