Essay

The thesis is devoted to experimental inversigation of cerebroprotective activity of glucosamine and its derivatives. It was proved, that glucosamine derivatives have antihypoxic and antiamnestic activity, and the relative effective dose of glucosamine hydrochloride – 50 mg/kg was detected. It was established that glucosamine hydrochloride has positive effect by acute damage of cerebral blood flow in acute and rehabilitation periods. It was shown that glucosamine hydrochloride increases the survival rate and motion activity and decreases level of neurological deficiency by acute damage of cerebral blood flow. It was detected for the first time that glucosamine hydrochloride can inhibit the development of free-radicals oxidation reactions and protects the antioxidant enzymes of the organism in terms of cerebral ischemia. It was also proved that glucosanime hydrochloride has protective activity to morphological structure of brain by acute damage of cerebral blood flow and is able to prevent apoptosis in vitro and in vivo.
