The researches of psychophysiologycal features of professional selection of trolleybus drivers are presented in this thesis. In modern conditions there is a problem of the scientificaly motivated approach to conducting professional selection of candidates and the prevision of their success in the future professional activity using complex methods of psychophysiologycal diagnostics. In this work there are theoretical generalization and solving scientific problems which lie in studying of the psychophysiologycal characteristics of those who want to master the profession of a "trolleybus driver" for the professional selection for training. Based on empirical facts of investigated people evaluation criteria of major professionally important psychophysiologycal qualities of trolleybus drivers are defined. It is proved that the success of mastering the profession "trolleybus driver" depends on the development of the following psychophysiologycal features: the high and average level of concentration, switching, sustainability of attention, speed of tasks execution, volume of the operational visual memory, technical experience, steady perception of spatial segments and time intervals. The strong mobile nervous system takes an important place. Taking to consideration the results of the dissertation work a professional selection of candidates for the profession "trolleybus driver" for the training and for employers' orders will be more effective. Developed evaluation criteria of professionally important psychophysiologycal qualities can be the basis for the psychogram writing for the profession of "trolleybus driver". Scientifically substantiated scheme of the psychophysiologycal research is the basis for the professional selection of trolleybus drivers.
