Object: the development process of school mathematical education in Ukraine; purpose: to find out the peculiarities and tendencies of the development, forms and substance methods of school mathematical education trends in the second half of XX  century and define possibilities the usage of historical and pedagogical experience in modern conditions; methods: concretely searching, division into periods, comparison, generalization, systematization, synthesis; novelty: firstly it is defended certainly the basic stages, tendencies and peculiarities of development of school mathematical education in the second half of XX  century in Ukraine; it is generalized and systemizes the theoretical reins of well-known teachers, psychologists, publicmen of the second half of XX  century on the problems of school mathematical education in Ukraine, it is found out progress of study practice of mathematics trends in general school of the investigated period; results: the unknown archived materials on issue and historical facts were involved in to the science which were not reflected in the previous scientific publications; branch – general pedagogy and the history of pedagogy.
