Essay

Dissertation is dedicated to study of glutargin and enterosgel effectiveness in case of drug-induced liver injury caused by combined application of antituberculosis and antiretroviral drugs. It was demonstrated experimentally on male rats that combined administration of efavirenz and stavudine with antituberculosis drugs can ameliorate the signs of liver injury caused by pyrazinamide, isoniazid and rifampicin with decreasing of cytolysis, cholestasis and endogenous intoxication indices, activation of antioxidant defense and simultaneous stimulation of СYP450 isozymes activity (CYP2E1 and CYP3A). It was proved the efficacy and expediency of glutargin and enterosgel combined administration to attenuate the degree of liver injury caused by combination of antituberculosis and antiretroviral drugs. Combined administration of antituberculosis and antiretroviral drugs was accompanied with decreased concentration of serum free isoniazid fraction, which presumably is due to activation of its metabolism by CYP450 system.
