The thesis suggests the solution of the up-to-date problem of introducing the grounds for patriotic education in off-class activities of would-be P.T. teachers. The paper defines the system of extra-curricular activities and its features in realization of patriotic upbringing by means of Ukrainian physical education. The research develops and experimentally proves the model of patriotic upbringing in the system of extra-curricular activities of the physical education teachers-to be. The thesis proves the effectiveness of introducing the author's special worked-out course implementing patriotic education in student's off-class activities.
