Krykun I. The Problem of Forming Fondness for Work in Elementary School Pupils in the Domestic Pedagogical Thought (the last part of XІX- the beginning of XX century).

Object - teaching and educational process in elementary schools; the aim - to systematize theoretical ideas on forming fondness for work in schoolchildren and characterize the peculiarities of their implementation in elementary school teaching practice of the period under research for the creative usage of the accumulated data in present-day schools; methods -general scientific, historical, comparative; novelty - the views of foreign and domestic educators of the period under research about the notion "fondness for work" have been systematized, the term is understood as a basis for forming personality's dignity, a condition for revealing one's calling and achievement of happiness, a foundation for mental and physical development, the highest moral quality which influences the interest and respect for work, performance of actions without coercion, capacity to finish everything that one has been doing; results - the conclusions and recommendations have been considered and used in the development of a special teaching course "Ways of forming fondness for work in primary school learners" for the students of higher pedagogical institutions of III-IV accreditation levels. The materials of the dissertation will be useful in the process of working out reference materials on the history of pedagogy, textbooks and monographs, in the process of work at lectures on pedagogy and history of pedagogy; field - pedagogy
