Object of the research: ethnopedagogics of the Jewish people. The aim of the investigation is a historical-pedagogical analysis of the family education ideas on the bases of Jewish ethnopedagogics; scientific reasoning of its peculiarities and the role in the Jewish people pedagogical thought development. The methods: theoretical and empirical. Novelty: the complex historical-pedagogical analysis of the Jewish people ethnoculture as a pedagogical phenomenon and the system of values and knowledge being conductive to the maintenance of the Jewish people as an independent ethnos and ethnopedagogics as its constituent has been carried out for the first time; ethnopedagogical traditions of the Jewish people family education have been specified and characterized, the ideas of family education in the Jewish people ethnopedagogics, where the folk experience is considered as an integral empirical system have been revealed; the main sources of the Jewish people ethnopedagogics evolvement with their transformation into contemporary young people education have been analyzed; the development and activity of the Jewish people educational institutions of the XIX-XX century on the basis of the ethnopedagogical educational traditions have been investigated; tge contribution of the Jewish intellectuals to the development of the pedagogical science has been examined. The goal, principles and methods of the family education in the Jewish ethnopedagogics in all its aspects (contents, tasks, the way of realization of spiritual-ethical, intellectual, labour and professional education), the types of the Jewish educational institutions in the South of Ukraine: midrashes – elementary school, private schools for boys and girls have been specified. The statement of the family upbringing role in the education of the small ethnoses of Ukraine in the XIX-XX century has been researched. The results: the materials of the research can be used in the following courses: “History of Pedagogics”, “Folk Study”, “Pedagogics”’, “Ethnopedagogics, “Ethnopsychology”, “Pedagogics of Family Upbringing”, “Methods of Education”, in the courses of advanced training, by the students and postgraduates of humanitarian higher educational institutions, specialization – general pedagogics and history of pedagogics.
