Essay

The subject of investigation is the development of the social potential of the society. The purpose of investigation is the definition and justification of the scientific principles of investigating the social potential in the system of priorities of human development that corresponds to the newest standards of the information society. The methods of investigation are method of analysis and synthesis; graphic method; methods of induction and deduction; abstraction; comparative characteristics; mathematical modeling. The practical importance of obtained results consists in the development of the conceptual provisions allowing to form rationally and estimate effectively the social potential of the society. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is that first the integral index of the social potential estimation in the system of priorities of the human development has been suggested. The conceptual categorical mechanism with respect to the interdependent connections of the social and economic system, the particularities of the social reconstruction and the theoretical principles of forming the social potential; the definition and interpretation of the social potential structure; the processes of diagnosis of social potential of the society, have been improved. The justification and distribution of the current problems of development of the social potential of the society into groups; the conception of development of the social potential of the society on the basis of formation of the concept, purpose, tasks, principles and the main directions of the state policy; the investigation of regional particularities of formation of the social potential, have been further developed.
