Object: the theory and practice of monitoring the quality of the university education. Aim: to determine peculiarities of content and structure of the natural science training quality monitoring in US universities. Practical significance: principles and conclusions are used in the process of writing textbooks on pedagogy, creating a course of lectures on the history of pedagogy and comparative pedagogy, preparation of tests in natural sciences. Methods: theoretical (theoretical analysis of the pedagogical literature, comparative historical analysis, interpretation and analytical, modeling and design); empirical (survey, interviews, conversations).
