Object - the educational process in higher technical educational establishments of Ukraine in the second part of XX century; the aim - on the basis of retrospective analysis of scientific pedagogical sources to systematize the theoretical ideas and generalize practical achievements in extracurricular educational activity organization in higher technical educational establishments of Ukraine of the second part of XX century in order to creatively implement them in present day conditions.; methods -general scientific, historical; novelty - the research has been the first one to present a comprehensive analysis of the problem of extracurricular educational activity organization in higher technical educational establishments of Ukraine of the second part of XX century in the historical retrospection; the stages in the development of extracurricular educational activity in higher technical educational establishments of Ukraine are substantiated; the content of educational activity is analysed; the conditions for the efficiency of extracurricular educational activity in higher technical school are defined and characterized; results - the conclusions made in the research concerning extracurricular educational activity in higher technical educational establishments of Ukraine in the second part of XX century have been used in the teaching course "Extracurricular Educational Activity Organization in Higher Technical Educational Establishments of Ukraine (historical-pedagogical aspect); field - pedagogy
