Essay

The expressive potential of French graphics (on the material of modern fiction) was studied in present thesis. It was determined the essential graphical means the expressive potential of which shows up in the fiction texts, classification of graphical means was offered. The main reasons of expressive usage of graphical means were given, the ways of their impact on the text perception were ascertained. The typical cases of untraditional usage of graphemic and paragraphemic means based on the functional criterion were analysed, the possible expressive effects, created by them were ascertained, as well as their correlation with the figures of speech was traced in this work.
