Essay

Object - the process of preschool children parents' education in the USA; the aim - to systematize the theoretical ideas and generalize the experience of preschool children parents' education in the USA in order to reveal and creatively use the pedagogically efficient forms and methods of parents' education in present day secondary and higher educational institutions in Ukraine; methods - general scientific, historical, comparative-historical; novelty - the research has been the first one to provide a comprehensive analysis of theory and practice of organization of preschool children parents' education in the USA, the preconditions of preschool children parents' education development in the USA have been characterized; the influence of psychological and pedagogical theories on the development of the pedagogical sphere under research has been analyzed; three stages in the development of preschool children parents' education in the USA during 90s XIX - the beginning of XXI have been justified; the efficient pedagogical experience in this sphere accumulated by the "centers of parents' pedagogical education programs" and agencies engaged in coordination of American parental education has been revealed. The scientific literary sources which have not been analyzed before have been introduced for further analysis (169); results - the theoretical data and ideas revealed during the research have been incorporated in the teaching course on the History of Pedagogy "Theory and Practice of preschool children parents' education in the USA (historical and pedagogical aspects)" for the postgraduate students and students of educational institutions of II-IV levels of accreditation, training professionals in specialty "Pedagogical Education"; field - pedagogy
