Essay

The problem of value determination of students' self-improvement in educational process of higher pedagogical establishments is researched. For the first time it was appointed value determination of students' self-improvement functional model and the pedagogical conditions of its realization in the educational process of higher pedagogical establishments (organization of personal directed educational surroundings, formation of student's value-notional field, value support a student in gaining self-improvement experience). It was founded the essence of the concept "value-motivational dominant" (functional notional formation within a future teacher personality structure which determines its development and self-improvement orientation in activity) and characterized its components (cognitive, affective, notional, stimulative and active). There were defined the stages (orientational, forming, operating), criteria (notional, substantial and operating) and levels (reproductive, exploring and creative) of value determination students' self-improvement effectiveness. It was specified the essence of the concept "self-improvement of future teachers" as the process of future specialist's deliberate, self-dependent, purposeful, creative upgrowth that is achieved through self-knowledge, self-education, self-regulation, self-organization and assured his creative self-actualization in the professional and other spheres of vital functions; the concept "value determination of future teachers' self-improvement" as dependence between self-improvement need and value-motivational dominant development within a future teacher personality structure.
