Essay

For the first time Nil Khasevych’s work is fully examined in the context of the development of Ukrainian fine art of the first half of the 20th century on the ground of the extended base of sources and new methodological approaches. The analyzed works demonstrate the breadth of author’s means of expressionand discover the evolution of the artistic-image system in the direction of deepening the spiritual criteria by ontologization of the events which were actual for the artist and by philosophical measuring of person’s life.
