Essay

The thesis deals with the study of the theoretical and methodological problems of the forming of the civic competence of the senior pupils in the teaching and educational process of the comprehensive school. Historical and modern approaches to the understanding of the essence of the civic competence of the senior pupils are analyzed and the main ways of its forming are investigated. It is proved, that the biggest possibilities for it are included in the educational potential of the subjects, extramural and extracurricular activities, which allows pupils to obtain deeper civic knowledge, skills, and also in the joining of the optimal forms, methods of the cooperation of the family, school and community. The pedagogical terms of the forming of the civic competence of the senior pupils are theoretically based, developed and introduced in the teaching and educational process. On the basis of the criteria, results and levels of the forming of the civic competence of the senior pupils is experimentally proved their efficiency in the terms of the teaching and educational process of school in general. The positive influence of the pedagogical terms on the activization of the balanced personality of the senior pupil is found out.
