Essay

Object of research: lifelong learning process in becoming a knowledge economy. Objective: studying theoretical and methodological basis and development of practical recommendations for the formation and development of the system of continuous education in the region. Methods: historical, systematic, surveys and expert assessments, group, retrospective analysis, economic and statistical analysis, regulatory, formalization and modeling, economic-mathematical modeling. Novelty: first developed structural-logical model of socio-economic mechanisms of realization of continuing education in the region, which includes priority directions of state regulation of continuing education in accordance with the objectives of regional development strategy; principles of integration, social partnership, adequacy of the needs of the economy, innovation and efficiency; funding sources, forms and methods of continuing education realization, its resource support, monitoring the effectiveness of mechanisms action, improved functionality of continuing education system through the allocation of its special functions, methodical approach to evaluating the effectiveness of realization of distance education services in the system of continuing education from the perspective of their vision as the investment project. Scope: in the activity of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of Ukraine, Lviv Regional Employment Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of Ukraine, Department of Education and Science of Lviv Regional State Administration, the State Committee for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship in the Lviv region.
