The investigation object - social and pedagogical work in the first half of the XX th century; the investigation purpose is to systematize theoretical propositions and to generalize experience in the organization of the social and pedagogical work with talented children in Ukraine in the first half of the XX th century for creative usage of previous years acquirements at the modern stage of society and education development; methods - theoretical empirical; novelty - at the first time the holistic historical and pedagogical analysis of the problem of the organization of the social and pedagogical work with talented children in Ukraine in the particular historical period has been accomplished; the stages of the formation and development of the issues of the organization of the social and pedagogical work with talented children in Ukraine (1900-1917 years - the stage of the formation of the problem of the organization of the social and pedagogical work with talented children; 1918 - 1935 years - the stage of intensive development of the issues of the organization of the social and pedagogical work with talented children; 1936-the first half of 50-es years of the XX th century - the stage of accumulation of experience in the organization of the social and pedagogical work with talented children) have been scientifically grounded; the main directions of the social and pedagogical work with talented children have been revealed and characterized; the prognostic tendencies of the further development of the issues of the organization of the social and pedagogical work with talented children in Ukraine in the XXIth century have been determined; the results - the propositions and conclusions regarding the organization of the social and pedagogical work with talented children in Ukraine ( the first half of the XX th century) stated in the investigation have been represented in the author's "The formation and development of the social and pedagogical work with talented children in Ukraine" course for students of the higher education establishments with III-IV accreditation levels; sector - pedagogics
