Essay

Translation of Bundeswehr staff papers requires knowledge of types, classification and structural design of a staff document. Staff papers of Bundeswehr were systematized, their classification was created, names of documents and features of order were supplemented by Ukrainian translation. Standardization, officiality, impersonality, courtesy, imperative, objectivity, consistency of linguistic expression, informativity, accuracy, brevity, clarity were determined like the main features of the functional style of Bundeswehr staff papers. The German military documents are characterized by imperative character. Glossary of common abbreviations and military ranks in staff documentation was developed on the basis of theoretical knowledge as well as glossary of headquarters and operational-tactical terminology.
