Essay

The thesis highlights theoretical fundamentals of research including humanistic philosophy, systematic approach and methodology of comparative analysis. It observes problems of bilingualism phenomenon research in the light of sociology, psychology, linguistic and pedagogy and discovers influence of their results on organization of bilingual education. The author summarizes historic-cultural phenomena (expansion, unification, postcolonial situation, immigration, integration processes) which different scientists interpret as the causes of bilingualism origin.
