Dissertation deals with а problem of professional burnout of Ukrainian state tax service employees. The research work contains theoretical substation, methodological foundation and the results of the empirical study of professional burnout of Ukrainian state tax service employees. The essence and structure of professional burnout of Ukrainian state tax service employees are defined. Factors of professional burnout are selected and investigated: 1) factors which operate at the organization level: a) psychologically-organizational factors (job stressors, job resources and balance between investments and outcomes); b) organizationally-professional factors, connected with specific features of the occupation's content according to the direction and powers of authority of Ukrainian state tax service professional activity; 2) factors which operate at the level of personality: a) personality factors; b) socially-demographic factors. Medium and high levels of professional burnout were found in the overwhelming majority of Ukrainian state tax service employees, who have taken part in the investigation; also specific expression of professional burnout in tax service employees was detected. It is pointed out that almost three-quarters of Ukrainian state tax service employees, who have taken part in the investigation, are inclined to inefficacy and one-quarter of Ukrainian state tax service employees are inclined to emotional exhaustion and cynicism. It is proved that the main conditions of preventive measures of professional burnout of Ukrainian state tax service employees are: a) mastering the knowledge, skills and abilities of preventive measures of professional burnout; b) improving the personal characteristics of Ukrainian state tax service employees in the process of specially organized psychological training; c) increasing internal motivation and commitment of Ukrainian state tax service employees. Author's training program of preventive measures of professional burnout of Ukrainian state tax service employees was tested and a complex quantitative and qualitative assessment its effectiveness was performed.
