Object of research: process of labour migration of the population of region and its socio-economic consequences. Purpose: deepening theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of labor migration and its socioeconomic implications and developing proposals for improving demographic policy in the context of regulating migration processes. Methods: analysis, synthesis and comparison, historical, gravity modeling, system, factor, statistical and cluster analysis. Novelty: first developed theoretical and methodological principles to improve the state migration policy, priorities which are based on consideration of social, economic and demographic consequences of labour migration of the population of region, improved methods of determining the level of demographic security in the region, methodical approach to the formation of demographic policy in the field of regulation of labor migration processes. Scope of use: in the activities of the Main Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Lviv Regional State Administration, the Central Statistical Office in Lviv region, in the learning process of the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs.
