Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of teaching children of senior preschool age to count using a computer under the conditions of a preschool educational institution. The essence of the notions "computer literacy of a child of senior preschool age" (minimal skills to work with a computer: independent switching on and off, search of necessary programs, ability to use a manipulator and a keyboard, knowledge of the rules of accident prevention) and "informational literacy of a child of senior preschool age" (skills to operate with known and search for new information, including with the use of a computer). The components: cognitive (knowledge of the count), motivational (positive attitude to the study of the count) and the component of activity (count abilities and skills, their use in different kinds of activity); criteria (comprehension of the count, cognitive interest in the study of the count, independent use of count skills in life), indices and the levels (initial, middle, sufficient, high) of the ability of the children to count are revealed. The pedagogical conditions of teaching children of senior preschool age to count using a computer are determined: formation of concepts of the count by the agency of traditional methods together with the use of a computer; development and introduction of the computer program and pedagogical means for teaching the senior preschoolers to count; the increase of informational culture of the teachers and parents.
