Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to studying of morphogenesis of rat tibia under effect of biogenic hydroxyapatite implants enhanced with manganese in various concentrations and revealing of compensatory adaptational processes in the bone under such conditions. Using modern techniques we proved that implanting of hydroxyapatite into tibia results in growth lag, narrowing of the proximal epiphyseal cartilages and the layers of diaphyseal compact bone, decrease of trabecular area in metaphysis and specific number of the osteoblasts on the surface of trabeculae, narrowing of the osteons and widening of their canals, hyperhydration and demineralization of both epiphyses and diaphyses, instability of phase contents of bone mineral and strength decrease of the bones. We also proved that enhancing of hydroxyapatite with manganese markedly reduces alterations of tibia morphogenesis. Optimum concentration of manganese in enhanced implant is 0.25%.
