The present paper deals with the problem of folk cultural traditions in Ukrainian modern folk-stage choreography and ballet theatre. This text discloses the complex problem of the ethnic dance elements being used in Ukrainian modern folk-stage dance and ballet theatre. A special heed is paid to analyzing the differences in modern choreographers' approaches to staging the folk-stage dances and ballets.
