On the basis of the analysis of current scientific and theoretical research in the field of postgraduate education, practical experience generalization of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education Institutes and district (city) scientific-methodical institutions it has been defined the nature and structure of the phenomenon of "methodologist professional development", specified and deepened the definition of " methodologist professional development management", summarized the organizational and pedagogical terms, worked out the contents, criteria, indices, technology of the methodologist professional development management.
