The object: the life and career as well as social and pedagogical activity of H. Gmeiner. The aims: to make a thorough analysis of pedagogical ideas of H. Gmeiner's creative heritage, their distribution in Austria and Germany during the second half of the XX - the beginning of the XXI century, to define the possibilities in Ukraine. The methods: theoretical, empirical. The practical significance: a comprehensive analysis of H. Gmeiner's pedagogical ideas has been made and the results have been embodied in the special course program "Hermann Gmeiner's educational conception and its realization in the countries of German-speaking space".
