The thesis focuses on the study of linguistic and pragmatic aspects of oral verbal interaction in French televised polemic talk-show. The dissertation offers a classification of communicative strategies and tactics used by talk show participants in "external" (host - television and studio audience) and "internal" (host - guest) communication models. Communicative strategies and tactics in talk show "external communication" are realized through lexical, grammar, stylistic and visual means aimed at attracting, keeping viewers' attention and creating for audience the illusion of common participation in direct verbal interaction.
