Essay

Object – the teaching process in higher educational institutions of Ukraine; the aim – on the basis of pedagogical and archival literary sources study to systematize and generalize theoretical ideas and practice of organization of educational and cognitive activities of students of higher pedagogical institutions during the second half of the ХХth century in order to use the valuable experience in the present day teaching process; methods – general scientific, historical-pedagogical, criteria -oriented; novelty – the research has been the first to provide a comprehensive analysis of the theory and practice of organization of educational and cognitive activities of students of higher pedagogical institutions in Ukraine; the ideas and theories of the educators of the second half of the ХХth century on the essence, components and ways of organization of educational and cognitive activities of students of higher pedagogical institutions have been systematized; the stages in the development of the issues connected with the problem of organization of educational and cognitive activities of students of higher educational institutions in Ukraine during the second half of the ХХth century have been determined. The aspects of conditions of organization of educational and cognitive activities of students of higher pedagogical institutions have been researched. A number of archival documents (31), specific facts and theories dealing with the development of theory and practice of organization of educational and cognitive activities of students of higher pedagogical institutions in Ukraine of the researched period have been introduced for scientific study; results –the data and conclusions concerning the organization of educational and cognitive activities of students of higher educational institutions in Ukraine during the second half of the ХХth century are recommended for the implementation in the teaching process of higher pedagogical institutions of III-IV accreditation levels for the improvement of professional training of prospective teachers; field – pedagogy.
